Here's how!

How does virtual karaoke work? It's surprisingly simple! All you need is a device with access to the internet (smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, etc) that has a microphone of some sort. A camera or webcam is nice too if you want to be seen but that's completely optional.

First, click on one of the buttons below to access Karafun's full song list. They have nearly 40,000 songs across several languages. Use the search function to find a song you'd like to sing. It can be a solo for you to sing, a request for something to hear Naathan sing, a duet to sing by yourself with one of the pre-recorded vocal tracks, a duet to sing with Naathan, whatever you want! Oh yeah, you should pick a back-up song too, in case someone else has already sang the song before you joined or in case it's temporarily unavailable. (Due to licensing and restrictions, sometimes songs that are listed as available are not actually available. I don't know why. Feel free to email Karafun and ask them.)

Once you find your song(s), just click "ADD TO QUEUE." No need to fill out any slips or remember any complicated track ID numbers! I can always re-organize or remove your choices later if you change your mind, so feel free to add a few.

Now that you have a song (or two or three) in the queue, you're just about ready to join Naathan on StreamYard. When you click the big button below, you will not immediately join the live broadcast; you will be placed into a "waiting room" where we will be able to see you if your camera is on, but not hear you. You can communicate with us via a private chat function only available to hosts and other folx backstage. We will confirm with you before we add you to the livestream. Remember, you don't have to turn on your camera if you don't feel like it, but we do love seeing how much fun you're having!

• Laptop or desktops work best.
• Connect to wifi if you have access to it; the stronger the connection, the better.
• If you have headphones or earbuds with a microphone, use them. It'll cut down on echo, background noise, and you'll sound much better.
• Make sure you have the lastest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
• Mute the live stream you're watching via Facebook or YouTube. There is a delay and we want you to interact with Naathan in the studio in real time.
• Relax and have FUN! You're gonna be great!
